The first ones. Contributing to the Victory
The series of documentaries about the Kazakhstani the USSR heroes, honored with the highest award of the Soviet Union for their deeds during the Great Patriotic War. These heroes’ names are widely known: Talgat Bigeldinov, Aliya Moldagulova, Manshuk Mometova, Baurzhan Momyshuly, panfilov warriors… there are 400 more Kazakhstanis who are included in the list of the USSR heroes. Infantrymen and cavalrymen, pilots and artillerists, reconnaissance scouts and deminers, who were defending Moscow, who were breaking a siege of Leningrad, cut across Dnepr and attacked Berlin – each of them made his own contribution in Victory. Many of them paid the price of their blood or even life. Karysbai Spatayev, who threw himself with a mine under the fascist tank near Stalingrad; Zhangazy Moldagaliyev, who closed enemy’s firing slit by his own body on the banks of Dnepr, Ziyamat Khusanov, who survived in captivity, was suspected of betrayal, deservingly received his Hero’s star. These and many other our compatriots should become the example of patriotism and courage for the young Kazakhstani citizens.
