1st season “25th kilometer” is the story of birth of the new family, told with irony and love. The story is taking place in the house, located on the 25th kilometer – right in the middle between the city and the countryside. Buying this house is a chance for the just married Lana and Bek to build their family. They were married for half a year, but they cannot find “their place in the sun” neither in the city, in Lana’s parents’ flat, nor in the countryside – in Bek’s parents’ house.

Lana and Bek love each other, although their being together is more like a mistake of destiny. He likes bixing, while she likes shopping. He doesn’t mind of having a good meal while she cannot cook. Except for the loovers no one understands what keeps this union together. Bek’s parents Karlygash and Baltabai think that he needs a good wife instead of a made-up doll. Lana’s parents Aida and Saken dream of her marriage at least with an oligarch, while the “unknown zootechnician” has come.

When Lana and Bek take mortgage credit to buy a house, their parents do not want to let the situation run its course. Karligash, the former delegate and a chair of the collective farm, decides that she would help children to repair house. Aida, the former executive of the soviet “Inturist” is sure that without her strict control relatives will make a “cowshed” of the house. Husbands of these decisive women – farm machinery operator Baltabai and doctor Saken follow their wives. As a result Lana and Bek live in their house, but they are tightly surrounded by care and attention of their parents, who have come to help “for the start”, but it is not clear when they are going home. In addition the talkative and active neighbor Vasily Trofimovich almost settles in their house and because the cause of numerous casus in this restless family.

The conflict of interests of rural and urban kudalar starts already when they try to choose design for the rooms in the house – felt versus surrealism masterpieces, coffers versus French Empire style. And when Lana and Bek decide to open a small family café at the house, their parents ultimately understand that nothing would be done without their help here. Karlygash and Aida start deciding who would be director of café, and who should be the waitress, and what should be included in menu – beshparmak or ravioli.

And while the newly-minted relatives repair the house together, mend the fence, dig the garden, organizing work in the café, this new friendly family will be day after day gradually will be built without notice. For time to getting used to each other is required not only the just married Lana and Bek, but also to their parents. They have to go through numerous ordeals and adventures. Karlygash and Aida together will catch “a dangerous criminal”, come under the influence of the seller of “wonderful nutritional supplements” and will find a bogy in the house. And Saken and Baltabai will go to bath-house together, but will find themselves in the police cell, catch a legendary “golden carp” in a local lake and conquer “mythic bear” when they go hiking.
